Cath Lab Technologist – 13-Week Contract
Location: St. Mary’s Hospital, Georgia
Contract Dates: September 21, 2026 – December 20, 2026
Schedule: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Call: Approximately 10 days per month, including nights and weekends
Position Overview
St. Mary’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. The Cath Lab Technologist will support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while working closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other members of the cardiac catheterization team.
Candidates with electrophysiology (EP) experience are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Prepare the procedure room, equipment, supplies, and sterile field
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and immediately report changes in condition
- Operate and maintain cardiac catheterization laboratory equipment
- Assist with circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring responsibilities as assigned
- Maintain proper sterile technique and infection-prevention standards
- Document procedures and patient information accurately
- Respond appropriately during emergency situations
- Participate in the department’s night and weekend call rotation
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of Cath Lab experience
- Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Ability to work the full 13-week assignment
- Ability to participate in approximately 10 days of call per month
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience
- Previous contract or travel assignment experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospital cardiac catheterization lab
