ICU RN (Charge/Lead) — San Luis Obispo, CA
 

Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced ICU RN for a unit leadership role at a 162-bed acute care facility on the Central California Coast, home to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a county-designated trauma center. This role provides unit-based leadership, working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff to ensure patients receive cost-effective, professional care with positive outcomes and high satisfaction — all while maintaining the highest level of patient safety.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion
• Provides unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director, and physicians
• Assesses and takes steps to improve quality of the patient experience
• Ensures safe, effective, high-quality care across the unit

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required (Master's preferred)
• 2+ years of charge/lead or supervisory ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Trauma experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• No call required

Shift: 3x12 Days (06:30am–07:00pm), 36 guaranteed hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks
