UNIT:  OR
CLINICAL INTERVIEWS W/ MNGR APPROVAL

Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Experience Required: 2 years OR, can be acute or outpatient surgery center. Hana table/dislocation experience highly preferred for RNs but not required. Ortho is required. Peds dental and cataracts experience preferred, but will consider without it. Must be comfortable to work as a team and talking with surgeons.Must be very strong doing total joints.

General Information:
Number of ORs: 3 Total; 2 – Ortho; 1 – General, Urology, Podiatry, GYN

Case Types:
Inpatient & Outpatient
Pediatrics – Dental, otherwise Adults
Heavy Ortho – Total Joints, General, Urology, GYN, Podiatry
Avg. # of Cases performed in a day:
Very fast paced department – can do up to 9 total joints per day

Floating: Endo to act as a helping hand. If have direct Endo experience, could help with cases.

Support on the Unit:
Scheduler
Charge nurse
Anesthesia/CRNA availability: CRNA per OR room; Anesthesiologist for the department
Transport person in PACU that will transfer back to inpatient unit; RNs will transfer from PreOp to OR

IV pumps: Plum 360
Medication dispensing: Pyxis

Dependent on experience/skillset
