Required
    Work Experience
  • Emergency Department Nurse (2 years)

Description

RN — minimum 1.5 years experience

Permanent Massachusetts RN license must be in hand

ACLS, BLS, PALS required

NIHSS & TNCC listed as required/desired certifications

Must be able to read telemetry

Experience interpreting/managing dysrhythmias

EPIC preferred

Level I Trauma experience required

Pediatric experience strongly preferred, but not mandatory

Strong preference for Psych/Behavioral Health ED experience

Ventilated patient experience

Travel experience not required

Previous charge experience not required

Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics

Level I Trauma Center

Psych/Behavioral Health ED exposure

Weekend coverage required

Must be able to work all 7 days of the week as needed.

No special scheduling accommodations due to union facility.

Block scheduling not guaranteed

Maximum 2 weeks RTO

No RTO during the first week

Up to 14 days RTO can be submitted for review

Must work one major holiday during the contract.

Only one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) may be included in RTO.

Minimal RTO and 26-week contracts receive priority.

Posted shift is 7:00 PM–7:30 AM.

 

  • The facility may flex the start time up to 4 hours earlier or later, but this is very rare and only for an urgent staffing need.

Vaccination

  • COVID vaccine: Not required
  • Flu vaccine: Required
  • Medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed

Other Important Rules

  • Locals accepted
  • 75-mile radius
  • Return staff require 12-month separation from the health system
