Description
Job Title: Travel Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS / MT)
Location: Cumming, GA
Contract Length: 16 Weeks (09/21/2026 – 01/09/2027)
Shift: 4x10-Hour Nights (Schedule varies 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Position Overview
Acute care hospital in the Cumming area is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a 16-week night shift travel contract. Role focuses on core specimen testing, analysis, and clinical laboratory operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of recent clinical laboratory experience within specialty
- Role Classification: Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) only (Note: MLT candidates will not be considered by facility)
- Certification required: Active ASCP, AMT, NCA, AAB, or HHS
- Prior acute hospital lab experience preferred
- Radius Rule: Travelers only; permanent tax home must be 50+ miles from the facility
Holiday Expectations
- 2 Major Holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day
- 1 Minor Holiday: Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve
