RN – Med-Surg

Facility: Waukesha Memorial Hospital
Location: Waukesha, WI
Unit: 5MED – Med-Surg
Contract: 13 Weeks | Open to 15 Weeks
Orientation: 9/22
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | 12-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
Patient Ratio: 1:7–8
Charting: Epic – required within last 12 months
Scrubs: Any color

Requirements

3–5 years Med-Surg experience required
Short-term acute-care hospital experience required
At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
BLS required
WI or Compact RN license required
Must be able to read telemetry
Experience with insulin & cardiac drips
Associate Degree/Certificate required; BSN preferred

Schedule / Float

Every other weekend
Holiday rotation
No call
May float to Oconomowoc Memorial, Mukwonago, and similar units based on census
Will not be floated outside clinical skills without appropriate approval

Additional Information 53-bed Med-Surg unit Hard-working, resilient RN with strong documentation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment preferred CBLs must be completed before start (unpaid) GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week Traveler guaranteed contracted hours except when unit is closed for holidays COVID vaccine required unless medical/religious exemption applies Manager phone interview Interviews Monday–Friday
