Description
RN – ICU (LTAC)
Location: Columbia, SC 29201
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night 4x12 (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
Requirements:
- 2 years of ICU experience required
- LTAC experience preferred
- Neuro experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Epic experience required
- Previous charge experience preferred
Teaching, community hospital, and trauma experience preferred
- Experience with ventilator management, weaning, tracheostomy, and PEG patients
- Experience with IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, insulin drips, and medication titration
- Experience with chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and blood products
- Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience
- Experience caring for patients with CVA/stroke, spinal cord injuries, ARDS, renal failure, CHF, and other complex conditions
Description:
This position is in an LTACH ICU caring for adult and geriatric patients. The facility has a 12-bed ICU and a 35-bed Med-Surg unit, and staff may work in both units. The role involves caring for complex patients requiring ventilator weaning, trach/PEG management, wound care, neuro care, and other long-term acute care needs.
