🩺 Position Overview

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns while working collaboratively with physicians and the broader healthcare team.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of individualized care plans, patient/family education, safety, documentation, and coordination of care.

The ideal candidate is a confident L&D/Mother-Baby RN who can work independently, communicate effectively, and adapt to a busy clinical environment.

⭐ Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current experience in Mother Baby / Labor & Delivery
• Must be able to function as a Catch/Transition Nurse
• Must be able to act as Charge Nurse
• Must be willing to float to other departments as a Safety Companion
• Competent and willing to practice modified primary nursing
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills

💙 L&D Experience Preferred

Experience in the following areas is highly valued:

• Antepartum
• Intrapartum
• Pre-Op
• Circulating
• PACU

📋 Required Certifications

• Active Montana RN License
• AHA BLS
• NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
• STABLE Certification

🕐 Schedule

• Night Shift
• 36 hours/week
• 13-week contract
• Holiday coverage required
• Weekend/after-hours work may be required based on department needs
• Traveler must be available for the assigned schedule and any required call responsibilities

📍 Traveler Requirement

Traveler's permanent residence must be at least 90 miles from the facility. Candidates who do not meet the 90-mile radius requirement will not be considered.

📑 Additional Notes

• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
• Strong attendance and timely completion of required education are expected.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and caring for patients with varying clinical needs.
