Registered Nurse — Acute Rehab Unit

Location

• Peoria, Illinois

Contract Length

• 17 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation every other holiday

Setting

• Acute rehab unit with 29 beds
• Patient population includes neuro, neurosurgery, amputations, multi-trauma, cardiac, and complex medical patients
• Tracheostomy patients are included; vents are not
• PT/OT/ST services are part of the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification
• Strong neuro skills

Clinical Expectations

• RN team conference attendance is required
• RN does not need to titrate drips
• Heparin is the only listed drip used on the unit
• Telemetry may be present, but RN does not monitor strips
• Floating is required to LTAC and med-surg; HAU only if trained

Orientation

• 2 days of class orientation
• 2 to 3 days/nights with a preceptor
• Training includes QRP and unit-specific rehab documentation

Additional Notes

• Local clinicians within 50 miles are accepted
• Drug screen required
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application
