Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients for changes in condition.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other clinical parameters.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Care for patients requiring telemetry and higher-acuity nursing care.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
- Assist physicians with procedures and treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
