Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Skilled Nursing Facility
Metropolis, Illinois
We are seeking a Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Skilled Nursing Facility contract in Metropolis, Illinois. This is an urgent quick-start opportunity with a strong rate and is a great fit for a COTA who enjoys hands-on patient care in a post-acute rehab setting.
This role offers the chance to work with adult and geriatric patients while helping them improve independence, safety, mobility, ADLs, and overall functional ability.

Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients with ADL retraining, transfers, mobility, upper extremity activities, and adaptive equipment use.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
- Educate patients on safety strategies, home programs, and functional independence techniques.
- Complete timely documentation and progress notes.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and the interdisciplinary rehab team to support patient outcomes.
