Description

Title: RN – ER

Location: Lubbock, TX 79410

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ER/ED RN experience – hardstop requirement
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS & TNCC required
  • Charge experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Patient ratio: 1:3
  • Travel experience not required if the candidate has 2+ years of ED experience

Description:

  • Work in a Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI facility
  • Provide care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics and geriatric patients
  • Common patient conditions include stroke, STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, trauma, shortness of breath, asthma, abdominal pain, GU complaints, headaches and lacerations
  • Responsibilities include ER triage, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, IV vasopressors, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management and stroke care
  • Expected patient ratio is 1:3
