Description
Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry
We are seeking an experienced MS/Telemetry RN to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced travelers and first-time travelers looking to work in a supportive hospital environment.
Position Details
- Specialty: MS/Telemetry RN
- Experience Required: 1+ year
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
- Certification: BLS required
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- On-Call: Not Required
- Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs
- Block Scheduling: Considered but not guaranteed
- Local Candidates: Not accepted – 75-mile radius rule
- Pending License: Not accepted
- RTO: Maximum of 1 week per contract
- Charting: Epic
- Epic Experience: Preferred
- Scrub Color: Any combination of Navy and White
Required Clinical Skills
- Mandatory competency in Phlebotomy and IV Placement
- Medical-Surgical & Telemetry experience
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- IV Insulin Protocols
- Heparin Protocols
- Cardiac Drips – no titration
- Blood Product Administration
- Peripheral Line Care & Management
- Feeding Tube Care & Management
- PCA Management
- Chest Tube Management – Emerson/Pleur-evac
- External CPAP/BiPAP
- High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Tracheostomy Management
- Wound Care & Wound VAC
- Orthopedic Trauma
- Total Joint Replacement experience
Patient Population
- Osteoarthritis involving various joints
- Fractures of various bones
Staffing & Support
- Day/Evening ratio: 5:1, with possible stretch to 6–7 patients
- Night ratio: 6–7:1, with possible stretch to 8–10 based on staffing
- PCTs are available on all units to assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living.
