Description

Required Certifications

RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
BLS – AHA
RDMS – OB/GYN required within 1 year of hire/transfer

Required Experience

Ultrasound experience in a hospital, clinic, or physician office — 1 year preferred
Experience performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ultrasound equipment, protocols, and safety

Preferred Education

High school diploma or equivalent — required
Specialized training in Ultrasonic Technology or on-the-job training with a registered sonographer — preferred
