Required Certifications

  • RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
  • BLS – AHA
  • RDMS – OB/GYN required within 1 year of hire/transfer

Required Experience

  • Ultrasound experience in a hospital, clinic, or physician office — 1 year preferred
  • Experience performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ultrasound equipment, protocols, and safety

Preferred Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent — required
  • Specialized training in Ultrasonic Technology or on-the-job training with a registered sonographer — preferred
