Description
Laurium, MI – CT / X-Ray Technologist (Variable Shifts | 5+ Years Experience | Call Required)
Quick Glance:
- Schedule: 5x8s (40 hours/week)
- Shift: Variable 8-hour shifts (typically starting around 8:30 AM)
- Call: Weekday & weekend call required (30-min response; 15-min for stroke)
- Weekend Rotation: Required
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Setting: CT / General Radiology
- Experience: 5+ years required (CT + X-ray)
- Charting System: EPIC (preferred)
Scope of Role:
- Perform both CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures in a multi-modality imaging environment
- Support a variety of departments including general radiology, surgery, and portable imaging
- Deliver high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and diagnostic radiography exams with accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with portable imaging and support surgical cases as needed
- Maintain proper patient positioning and ensure image quality standards
- Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Document procedures accurately within EMR and PACS systems
- Respond to on-call cases within required timeframes
- Float to affiliated clinic location as needed
Must-Have Credentials:
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 5 years of CT experience
- Strong experience in both CT and general radiology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a variable, team-based environment
Work Environment:
- Multi-modality imaging department (CT, X-ray, Mammography, Surgery, Portable)
- Collaborative and team-oriented setting
- Floating required to nearby clinic location as needed
Additional Details:
- Call-back minimum of 2 hours when activated
- Potential for low census call-off/on-call status
- Holiday rotation may apply depending on assignment length
