Position Overview

  • Position: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray)
  • Location: Boston, Massachusetts
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Schedule Options: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem
  • Base Salary: Up to $82,000/year
  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you would be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing diagnostic X-ray examinations using appropriate positioning, techniques, and exposure factors.
  • Performing exams on patients across all age groups within the Diagnostic Radiology department.
  • Preparing and positioning patients while maintaining their safety, comfort, and privacy.
  • Verifying patient identifiers, exam details, and laterality before each procedure.
  • Monitoring patients throughout examinations and responding appropriately when assistance is required.
  • Accurately documenting examinations in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
  • Following hospital infection-control, safety, and patient-care protocols.
  • Maintaining all required licenses, certifications, CEUs, and annual compliance requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License, or a Temporary Massachusetts Rad Tech License with the ability to obtain permanent licensure within one year.
  • ARRT Certification and Registration required, or the ability to pass the national ARRT registry examination within one year if working under a temporary license.
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification.
  • Completion of a two-year approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • 1+ year of Radiologic Technology experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, patient-care, and teamwork skills.
