Mammography Technologist

Start Date: October
Schedule: 32 hours/week preferred; 40 hours/week available
Shift: Primarily 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional 11:30 AM–8:00 PM shifts to accommodate a 40-hour schedule
Call: No on-call requirement
Overtime: Consistently available
Work Locations: Multiple campuses; candidate may work across up to four campuses. All locations utilize the same equipment.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team beginning in October. The technologist will provide high-quality mammography services across multiple campuses, performing both screening and diagnostic mammography. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a multi-campus environment and have strong technical expertise in mammography, bone density studies, and breast biopsies.

Local candidates may be considered at a rate $5/hour below the standard rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Provide mammography services across multiple campuses as needed.
• Perform bone density (DEXA) examinations.
• Perform or assist with breast biopsy procedures.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning, imaging, and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
• Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout procedures.
• Operate and maintain familiarity with mammography equipment used across all assigned campuses.

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts (MA) license required.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Current and up-to-date CEUs.
• Demonstrated experience performing both screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Experience with bone density/DEXA studies.
• Experience performing breast biopsies strongly preferred.
• Must be able to demonstrate completion of at least 200 mammography examinations within the past two years.

Preferred Candidate

The ideal candidate will have strong mammography experience, excellent patient-care skills, and the flexibility to work across multiple campuses. Experience with breast biopsies is highly preferred, although it is not an absolute deal-breaker for an otherwise qualified candidate.

Schedule & Work Environment

• 32 hours/week preferred, with the option to work up to 40 hours/week.
• Most shifts will be 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
• Additional shifts may be scheduled approximately 11:30 AM–8:00 PM to reach a 40-hour workweek.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Overtime is consistently available.

• Potential assignment across four campuses, all equipped with the same machines.
