Unit Name: Physical Therapy IP
General Information
Unit Specifics:
· Number of Beds : 330
· Patient Ratios : ~ 10 patients/8-hour day
· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : PT, OT, ST, Therapy Director
· Type of equipment: basic rehab equipment, portable parallel bars, portable stairs, Sara Stedy, ceiling lifts, hpyer lifts
· Documentation system: Sunrise Allscripts
· Scheduling requirements: 1 weekend shift per month in addition to full-time hours (current needs are Monday through Friday)
· Floating policy: all inpatient units as well as the ED are covered by this department, we do not cover NICU patients
· Patient Experience requirements: Acute Care experience (we see higher volumes of cardiac, vascular and orthopedic patients), Vestibular experience preferred but not required.
Must have: NH Physical Therapy License, BLS certification
Advanced skills needed: Vestibular experience preferred but not required
Procedures performed on unit: evaluations and treatment
