Unit Information: Corpus Christi Medical Center – Northwest FSED
Location: Northwest Regional Medical Center, 24/7 FSED

General Information
Tell us about the unit(s):
· Number of Beds - 15
· Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 06:30 – 18:30= 3 RN’s, 9am- 6:30pm EMT-P or Nurse Extern
o Night Shift – 5Pm-1am EMT-P and 3 RN’s 18:30-06:30
· Patient Ratios – 1:4 depending on acuity
· Type of equipment – Baxter pumps, Hamilton vents, GE cardiac monitors, Stryker stretchers…
· EMR - Meditech
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· Compassion, Sense of Urgency, Team player
· Skills in rapidly identifying Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke and Trauma
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
· Experience with airway management/ventilators
· Strong Critical Thinking Skills
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· Splinting, wound care, IV-starts, medication admin,
· Assessments, Re-assessments, documentation, oversight of EMT-P’s
Best personality Fit:
· Compassionate Care Giver (non-abrasive)
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
· BLS, ALS, TNCC, CPI or equivalent, PALS or ENPC,
Floating Area(s):
· We have 5 ER’s, typically staffed to core so most likely will not need to float
