Emergency Department RN – Job Description

Specialty: Emergency Department RN
Contract: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours/week
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) & Every Other Holiday (EOH), per department rotation
Call: None
EHR: Epic

Requirements

Active RN license
BLS, ACLS & PALS required
Must live 75+ miles from the facility
No local contracts

Responsibilities

Provide rapid assessment and treatment of patients with acute illnesses and injuries
Stabilize patients during the initial phase of emergency care
Administer medications and initiate IV therapy
Draw blood and perform emergency interventions
Assist with or perform intubation as required
Monitor and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Deliver safe, timely, and evidence-based emergency nursing care
