Description
Position: Medical Technologist (MT/MLS)
Location: Woodsville, NH
Compensation: $70K–$90K/year + Full Benefits
Shift: Monday–Thursday | 2:00 PM–12:30 AM | 75 hours biweekly
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to join a hospital laboratory team. The role involves performing moderate- to high-complexity testing across areas including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology, urinalysis, and phlebotomy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and analyze laboratory testing on blood, urine, and other specimens
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment
- Ensure accurate results and troubleshoot testing discrepancies
- Follow quality control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Collect, label, and properly handle specimens
- Communicate critical results to providers and nursing staff
- Participate in quality assurance and process improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
- MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent national certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred
- Phlebotomy experience/certification is a plus
