This MS/Telemetry Float RN assignment in St. Louis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse who is comfortable caring for diverse adult and geriatric populations across multiple inpatient specialties.

You'll work in a Short-Term Acute Care environment with Epic charting, manageable patient ratios, free parking, no on-call requirement, and comprehensive interdisciplinary support.

This is a true float opportunity, giving you exposure to a variety of adult inpatient populations and allowing you to strengthen your clinical skill set.

RNs may float within their scope of practice to:

  • Medical-Surgical
  • Medical

  • Surgical
  • Medical Oncology
  • Neuro
  • Renal
  • Cardiology

Float assignment details are communicated in advance when a nurse is pre-assigned to a specific unit. Float-pool nurses may receive their unit assignment through a recorded call up to one hour before the scheduled shift.

If you enjoy variety and don't want to be limited to one unit throughout your contract, this assignment offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience.

Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
Daily Census: Approximately 28–50 patients depending on the assigned unit

Patient Ratios

  • Days: 1:5–6
  • Nights: 1:6
  • Weekends: 1:5–6

🩺 What We're Looking For

Required

  • 2+ years of recent MS/Telemetry RN experience — REQUIRED
  • Active RN license
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Recent hands-on Telemetry experience
  • IV start experience
  • Strong adult/geriatric acute-care experience
  • Ability to float across multiple inpatient units
  • Comfortable caring for approximately 5–6 patients

Travel nursing experience is NOT required.

Preferred

📅 Schedule & Weekend Requirements

Schedule: 3×12-hour night shifts
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

  • Block scheduling is not available
  • No on-call requirement
  • Every other weekend OR
  • Minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Saturday/Sunday are considered weekend days
  • Holiday rotation required

Time Off

RTO is generally limited to 7 days per 13-week period.
