Description

Specialty: Pharmacist – Acute Care Pharmacy
Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Hours: 36 guaranteed hrs/week
Location: Mercy Hospital Springfield, Springfield, MO
Experience: 1 year preferred; new grads will be considered
Required License: Missouri Pharmacist License
Required Certification: AHA BLS
EMR: Epic
Call: As required by facility
Float: As required by facility
Training: Approximately 2–3 weeks
Duties: Central pharmacy workflow, medication/product verification, IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, crash carts and prepackaged medications
Team: Day shift has 5 pharmacists and 10 technicians; this pharmacist is the primary central pharmacy pharmacist
Technician Oversight: Coordinates workflow and redirects technicians as needed; no direct supervision
