CT Technologist / CAT Scan Technologist:

Facility: Akron Campus
Location: 141 N. Forge St., Akron, OH 44304
Shift: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Position Overview:

Akron Campus is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to provide high-quality CT imaging services in an adult acute-care, Level 1 Trauma Center. The technologist will perform diagnostic CT examinations, assist with emergency and high-acuity cases, and work closely with the Emergency Department and other hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic CT/CAT scan procedures according to department protocols.
• Provide CT imaging support for Level 1 Trauma and high-acuity patients.
• Assist with imaging needs in the Emergency Department (ED) and other clinical areas.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for CT examinations.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and maintain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Follow radiation safety, patient safety, and infection-control protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide appropriate patient care and communication throughout the imaging process.
• Operate and maintain CT equipment according to established procedures.
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in the appropriate systems.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience.
• Minimum 2 years of travel experience.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required.
• Experience working with ED/emergency and high-acuity patients strongly required.
• Strong knowledge of CT procedures, patient positioning, safety, and imaging protocols.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute-care environment.

Schedule:

4 × 10-hour shifts | 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Every other weekend required
