Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Av. salary :- $40-$53/hour (depending on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 10-bed geriatric psychiatric voluntary short-stay unit serving patients aged 65 and older.

In this role, you will provide individualized, compassionate nursing care while helping create a safe, supportive environment for older adults experiencing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs and established standards of practice.
• Assess patients, recognize changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly to providers and the healthcare team.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive patient care plans.
• Administer medications safely and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Prioritize care for patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, LPNs/LNAs, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families and serve as a resource to peers.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Apply critical-thinking skills to determine appropriate responses to urgent and non-urgent situations.
• Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Active RN License – Required
• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to geriatric patients.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
