Overview

Role Summary

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Traveler will be required to work up to 6 weekend shifts and holidays as needed per department needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience).
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• NRP.
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment.
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
• At least two professional references completed prior to first assignment.
• Resume or profile.
• Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually for specialty.
• Pharmacology exam completed prior to start, with a minimum score of 80% and only 2 attempts allowed.
• Core competencies completed within a year of start, updated every 3 years, with a minimum score of 80% or the national benchmark passing score.
• EKG exam completed with a passing score of at least 80% and only two attempts permitted.
• Onboarding education attestation completed.
• Nursing contract worker onboarding completed onsite.
• Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules completed before clearance.
• Cerner test-out completed with training checklist and signed attestation.
• Badge photo required.
• COVID-19 vaccine documentation required.
• MMR documentation required.
• Fit test required for all travelers.
• Hepatitis B documentation required.
• Influenza vaccine documentation required.
• Health statement or completed physical exam required prior to first assignment.
• Driver's license or state ID must not be expired and must match address on file.
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA required.
• Varicella documentation required.
• Tdap required.
• Criminal background check results required.
• EPLS required.
• OFAC required.
• 12-panel drug screen required.
• Education verification required.
• Confirmation of assignment required.
• Employment verification for the past seven years required.
