Description
We are seeking an experienced PCU RN to provide quality care to patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients with acute and complex conditions.
- Perform assessments and monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and oxygen levels.
- Monitor telemetry strips and promptly report changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient education.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Previous PCU/step-down nursing experience preferred.
- Active RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
