Description
Job Title: Special Education Teacher – FSLC
Facility Type/Setting: Middle School / High School
School: Barbara Bush MS
Grade Level: 6th–8th Grade and High School
Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday
Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours
Contract Length: 40 Weeks
Requirements
- SPED certification required.
- Experience supporting students with special needs.
- Ability to teach an alternative curriculum.
- Experience with students with mental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Teach Functional Support Life Skills (FSLC).
- Provide instruction in life skills for students across the applicable age groups.
- Support students in academic and daily living skills.
- Implement the appropriate alternative curriculum.
- Provide instruction and support based on individual student needs.
Special Notes
- FSLC = Functional Support Life Skills.
- Full-time position: 37.5 hours/week.
- Candidates must not exceed 7.5 hours per day or 37.5 hours per week.
