Details
- Location: Lumberton, NC
- Specialty: Med/Surg RN
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Unit: 17-bed Med/Surg unit
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Common patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, diabetes, infections, electrolyte imbalances, altered mental status, sepsis workups, and post-general surgery patients
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- No call
- First-time travelers accepted
- Floating required to other Med/Surg areas as needed; may float to ICU for Med/Surg-level patients only
- EMR: EPIC
Requirements
- Active North Carolina RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
- BLS certification through AHA or ARC
- NCI/de-escalation certification required; may be obtained onsite if needed
- ACLS preferred
- Strong Med/Surg skillset
- Experience with trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, Foley care, central line management/dressing changes/blood draws, dialysis patients, and BiPAP
- Experience managing Heparin drips
- EPIC experience preferred
- Charge RN experience preferred; please indicate willingness to take charge duties if applicable
