Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Level 2 Radiology CT Technologist to join a professional diagnostic imaging team in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a broad range of computed tomography examinations while ensuring exceptional image quality, patient safety, and compassionate patient care.
 

This position is ideal for a CT Technologist who is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a clinical environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT examinations in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and departmental standards.
  • Accurately verify patient identification, clinical history, examination orders, and relevant imaging information prior to each procedure.
  • Prepare, position, and safely transport patients for CT examinations as appropriate.
  • Explain examination procedures clearly to patients and provide appropriate instructions throughout the imaging process.
  • Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Select appropriate technical parameters and protocols to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer oral and/or IV contrast when authorized and required, following established protocols and applicable regulations.
  • Assess patients before, during, and after examinations and promptly communicate any changes in condition or adverse reactions.
  • Evaluate acquired images for positioning, technical quality, and diagnostic adequacy before completing examinations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient and examination documentation.
  • Utilize PACS/RIS and electronic medical record systems for image management and clinical documentation.
  • Follow all radiation protection, infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Perform appropriate equipment checks and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support efficient patient flow.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and respect for patient privacy at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current certification/registration as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Demonstrated competency and/or certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Previous professional experience performing CT examinations in a clinical or hospital environment.
  • Strong understanding of CT imaging principles, patient positioning, radiation safety, and image-quality standards.
  • Ability to accurately follow physician orders, imaging protocols, and departmental procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Level 2 CT Technologist role.
  • Experience in an acute-care or hospital-based imaging environment.
  • Experience with contrast-enhanced CT examinations.
  • Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and electronic health record systems.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department.
