Description

Schedule:

 

12 hour shifts, rotating weekends. Early shifts start at 6am to 6:30pm. Includes 2 on-call shifts per week.

 

Holiday coverage required.

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved and accredited school for Respiratory Care.
  • Minimum of 5 years of newborn/NICU experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in acute Respiratory Care medicine.
  • Current BLS/ACLS and NRP certifications.
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Licensed to practice respiratory care in the state.
  • Member of the American Academy of Respiratory Care (AARC).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care to inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Administer care under the direction of ordering physicians and supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill in respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and newborn patients.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new clinical staff on respiratory therapy modalities and equipment.
  • Participate in community education and development activities.
