 CVOR CST

Position: CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Days – 4 × 10 hours
Shift Time: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR CST experience.
• Previous travel experience required.
• Level I Adult Trauma experience required.
• Current CST certification through NBSTSA required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CVOR experience required.
• First Assist experience required.
• Previous cardiac surgical experience.
• Must be comfortable with mandatory call and weekend coverage.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Pending certifications are not accepted.

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

The candidate must have CVOR experience with the following procedures and skills:

Cardiac Surgery

• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Mitral Valve Replacement
• Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) Repair
• Cardiomyoplasty
• Pericardial Window
• ECMO
• VAD Management
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)

Vascular Surgery

• Aortic Aneurysm Repair
• Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR)
• Atherectomy
• Angioplasty / Stenting

Additional OR Skills

• First Assist
• General OR
• Trauma
• Radiation Safety
• Sharps Safety
• Universal Protocol / Surgical Time-Out
• Mesh Measuring
• Additional Time-Out for Retained or Additional Foreign Objects

EMR: EPIC
Minimum EPIC Experience: 1 year, as stated in facility notes.

TRAVELER AND LOCAL RULES

Traveler Eligibility

• Travel experience is required.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Travel pairs and trios are welcome.
• Radius rule applies.

Flu Vaccine - Required – No Exemptions
