Description
Cardiothoracic Telemetry Registered Nurse (CT Tele RN) – Night Shift
- Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:30 | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
- Weekend & Holiday Protocol: Every-other-weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday). Required to participate in holiday rotation (Nights cover Holiday Eves: Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve).
- On-Call Protocol: No call requirement at this time.
- Floating Protocol: Required to float to other general medical units as needed.
- Attire & Orientation: Any solid/patterned scrubs allowed (no children/cartoon prints). 12 non-billable orientation hours (typically 1 shift; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation).
- Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 12 hours per 13-week assignment without penalty.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]
- Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of clinical Telemetry / Cardiothoracic RN experience required [HARDSTOP].
- Clinical Skill Set & Drip Titration Scope [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical mastery in EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac telemetry monitoring (Philips systems), chest tube management, and IV drip titration (specifically Cardizem and Heparin) [HARDSTOP]. Must have documented experience managing MI, CHF, A-Fib, COPD, pacemakers/AICDs, lung surgeries, and esophagectomies.
- State Licensure [IN-HAND OR IN-PROCESS AT SUBMISSION]: Active Illinois State RN License OR proof that the IL application process has been officially initiated [HARDSTOP].
- Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
- Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — AHA ONLY) certification [HARDSTOP].
- Recommended Credential: Active AHA ACLS recommended.
- Mandatory Submission Artifacts [HARDSTOP]: Profile submittal packet must include candidate's Middle Initial, Last 4 digits of SSN, requested time off (RTO), and explicit confirmation of compliance with OSF's Drug-Free Campus policy [HARDSTOP].
- EMR Proficiency: Direct clinical documentation experience in Epic EMR.
