Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Outpatient & Inpatient Rehab

We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Waimea, Hawaii. This opportunity includes a mix of outpatient, acute care, ICU, SNF, and inpatient mobility progression, making it a great fit for a well-rounded PT who is comfortable working independently in a rural hospital-based setting.

This role is ideal for a PT who enjoys variety in their caseload, strong clinical independence, and the chance to provide meaningful care in a beautiful island community.

• Approximately 75% Outpatient
• Rural Hospital-Based Environment
• Waimea, Hawaii
• Start Date: 9/28/26
• End Date: 12/28/26

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Treat a variety of outpatient diagnoses with thorough, individualized care plans.
• Support acute care, ICU, SNF, and inpatient mobility progression needs.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, OT, SLP, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete timely documentation and progress reporting.

Requirements

• Hawaii PT license required.
• BLS required.
• Strong clinical independence required.
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• Acute care, SNF, or hospital-based experience preferred.
• Rural healthcare experience preferred.
