Travel CT Technologist- (Virginia Region)

Position Summary: We are seeking dedicated Travel CT Technologists to join our healthcare facilities across Virginia. In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art computed tomography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic cross-sectional images. As a contract traveler within the Bons Secours Mercy Health Healthcare network, you will adapt to high-volume clinical environments, delivering exceptional patient-centered care and maintaining strict safety protocols.

***We have travel CT opportunities in mulitple locations around Virginia (and surrounding states + the midwest)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures following established protocols and ALARA radiation safety guidelines.

   

• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures clearly, and monitor condition throughout scans.

   

• Administer contrast media, perform venipuncture/IV site placement, and assist radiologists with interventional procedures or biopsies.

   

• Operate electronic medical record systems (Meditech, PACS) for accurate exam documentation, charging, and image verification.

   

• Perform daily equipment quality control tests, maintain a clean/stocked work environment, and report technical malfunctions promptly.

   

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology (AMA-approved).

   

• Certifications:

  • ARRT (R) certification required.

     

  • ARRT (CT) certification required.

     

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

     

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care setting preferred.

   

• Licensure: Active Virginia state license/registration as required by state regulatory guidelines.
