Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: Asap Guaranteed Hours per Week: 40 hrs Primary Location: Aspirus Wausau Hospital Shift Requirements: 8 hour variable shifts. Mix of 0700-1530,0900-1730 and 1100-1930, Float Requirements: May be required to float to other Central Aspirus locations if needed (this is rare but is reflected in the higher premium pay for this assignment).

On Call/Call-Back: During a 13 week contract, 6-8 nights of week night call and 1-2 weekend. 30 min response time meaning traveler must be ready and in the OR within that 30 min. Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours. Traveler must have their own vehicle and can not rely on Uber/Lyft due to on call responsibilities.

Weekend/Holiday: Weekend for call only. Holiday rotation Required

Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, WI RN License, required.

Minimum Experience: 5+ year OR experience with at least 1 travel assignment REQUIRED- need to have experience in a larger facility with comparable OR's of 20. Trauma II experience REQUIRED. Circulate REQUIRED, scrub experience preferred.

Charting/Equipment: Epic preferred Unit Specific Skillset: 21 ORs including all specialties. 40-60 cases per day - Avg of 45. Required skills: Ortho, Neuro (crani s), Spine, REQUIRED. General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, GI, not required but a bonus. Looking for a flexible candidate with excellent work ethic that is also willing to do downtime tasks, if needed. Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates. 

Scrub Colors: any color

Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours travelers can be put on call during the 36 hours of unbillable low census. If called back in, they will have call back pay. GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed. 

During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions).
