Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 80 Jesse Hill Jr Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30303
Schedule: Nights | 3 × 12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week

Job Description

• Work on a high-acuity Medical/Surgical floor within a Surgery/Trauma environment.
• Provide nursing care to a diverse surgical and trauma patient population, including patients with gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia.
• Maintain a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
• Collaborate with Nursing Support Technicians, phlebotomists, ED nurses, and admitting units to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Complete and receive thorough nurse-to-nurse handoffs during patient admissions and transfers.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient care management.
• Work assigned shifts as scheduled; block scheduling is not available.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
• BLS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-acuity, surgical, or trauma setting is preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills required.

• Patient Ratio: 5:1
• Phlebotomists: Available
• Night Unit Secretary: Available
• Nursing Support Technicians: Available
• Nurse Handoff: Completed by the ED nurse and admitting unit
