Description

Required Certifications

ARDMS
BLS – Basic Life Support
Must hold 2 of the following ARDMS/specialty certifications:
- AB – Abdomen
- BR – Breast
- FE – Fetal Echocardiography
- OB/GYN
- PS – Pediatric Sonography
- RVT – Registered Vascular Technician

Required Experience

2 years of recent relevant Sonography experience
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, OR ARDMS evidence of completion of a DMS program
Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography procedures, views, equipment, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Experience handling traumas/hospital emergencies is expected
Ability to perform sonographic examinations independently and recognize/communicate abnormal findings
Experience with RIS/LIS/EHR, Epic, and PACS is preferred/expected
