Emergency Room RN – Travel Contract

Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts
Start Date: ASAP
Weekends: As needed

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment to patients presenting with a variety of injuries and acute illnesses.

The ED RN will work in a fast-paced environment and provide timely emergency care, including medication administration, IV starts, blood draws, and assistance with emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid assessment and prioritize emergency patients
• Provide emergency and trauma nursing care
• Stabilize patients with acute illnesses and injuries
• Administer medications and treatments
• Start IVs and draw blood
• Assist with intubation and emergency procedures
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary ED team
• Maintain accurate patient documentation

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active Wisconsin RN License OR valid Multi-State RN License (NLC)
• BLS – AHA or approved equivalent
• ACLS – AHA
• TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course
• PALS – AHA required within 1 year of hire

Additional Requirements

• Emergency Department / ER experience required
• Adult/General Emergency Room experience
• Completion of required nursing competency assessments
• ED RN competency assessment
• ER Skills Checklist
• RN Pharmacology assessment

Schedule

• 5×8-hour night shifts
• 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekends as needed
