Position Overview

Froedtert Hospital is seeking an experienced Med Surg / Neuro RN to provide care for adult patients with medical-surgical and neurological conditions.

The RN will work 12-hour night shifts and should be comfortable floating to other appropriate units as needed.
 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med Surg and Neurology patients
• Perform assessments and monitor patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments
• Manage IVs and other routine nursing procedures
• Recognize and escalate changes in patient condition
• Provide neurological assessments and monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate patient documentation
• Float to other units as needed

Required Skills & Assessments

• Med Surg nursing experience
• Neurology / Neuro nursing experience
• Neuro Progressive Care competency
• RN Medical Surgical competency
• RN Neurology competency
• RN Pharmacology competency
• Core Mandatory Nursing assessments

Required Certification

• BLS

Schedule

• 3×12-hour night shifts
• 12-hour nights
• Float as needed
• Weekend requirement: up to every other weekend
• Start: ASAP
