ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract

Schedule

• 3×12-hour Day Shifts
• 12-hour days
• Float as needed to Stepdown and MST (Med Surg/Telemetry)
• Up to every other weekend

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide care to critically ill medical, surgical, and trauma patients.

The ICU RN will be responsible for close patient monitoring, comprehensive assessments, medication administration, recognizing changes in patient condition, and providing timely interventions in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, respiratory status, and overall patient condition
• Perform comprehensive assessments and identify changes in patient status
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Care for medical, surgical, and trauma patients
• Assist with critical-care procedures as needed
• Communicate patient changes to physicians and the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate patient documentation
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support
• Follow patient safety and infection-control practices
• Float to Stepdown and MST units as needed

Requirements

• Recent ICU / Critical Care RN experience
• Ability to care for high-acuity medical, surgical, and trauma patients
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to float to Stepdown and MST as required

Required Certification & Credentials

• BLS – Required
• Active RN State License – Required
• ICU Skills competency/checklist
• RN – Intensive Care Unit competency
• RN Pharmacology competency
• Core Mandatory Nursing assessments

Additional Details

• No call requirement listed
• Floating is required based on facility needs
• Weekend rotation may be up to every other weekend
• Travel experience preferred
