Emergency Room RN (ED/Trauma) – Travel Contract

Shift: 3×12-hour Mid Shifts
Hours: 12-hour shifts
Start Time: Varies between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment to patients presenting with a variety of injuries and acute illnesses.

The ED RN will work in a fast-paced environment and provide timely emergency care while prioritizing patients based on acuity.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid assessments and prioritize emergency patients
• Provide emergency and trauma nursing care
• Stabilize patients experiencing acute illness or injury
• Administer medications and treatments
• Start IVs and draw blood
• Assist with intubation and other emergency procedures
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary ED team
• Maintain accurate patient documentation
• Provide safe, compassionate patient care

Requirements

• Emergency Department / ED experience
• Adult/General Emergency Room experience
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple patients and changing priorities

Required Certifications & Credentials

• BLS
• Active RN State License
• ED RN competency assessment
• ER Skills Checklist
• RN Emergency Room – Adult/General competency
• RN Pharmacology assessment
• Core Mandatory Nursing Exam
• Core Mandatory Parts I, II & III

Schedule

• 3×12-hour Mid Shifts
• Start times vary between 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Every 3rd weekend
• Start date: ASAP
