Required Qualifications:

• ARRT(R) Certification
• Active Wisconsin Radiologic Technologist License
• BLS
• ACLS
• 3+ years of Cath Lab experience
• Strong experience with Cath Lab and peripheral interventional procedures
• RCIS preferred 

Required Cath Lab Skills:

• Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization
• Interventional Cardiac Procedures
• Right & Left Heart Catheterization (RHC/LHC)
• STEMI / NSTEMI
• Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO)
• Valvuloplasty
• CardioMEMS
• Cardiac Biopsies
• Atherectomy
• Staged PCI
• IABP
• Impella
• Peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Fistulograms
• Scrubbing
• Panning

Hybrid Procedures:
 

Hybrid experience is preferred but not required, including:

• AAA grafts
• Thoracic grafts
• TAVR
• Watchman
• Clips 

ECMO experience preferred.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Function as a Cath Lab Technologist in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment  
• Scrub and assist with complex cardiac and peripheral procedures
• Operate and position imaging equipment during procedures
• Support physicians and the Cath Lab team during diagnostic and interventional cases
• Assist with equipment and device preparation
• Maintain sterile technique and follow Cath Lab safety protocols
• Provide appropriate patient-care support throughout procedures
• Work collaboratively with permanent staff, nurses, physicians, and other clinical team members
• Permanent staff will monitor cases while travelers perform assigned technical responsibilities 

Patient Population:

• Adults only – no pediatrics
• High-acuity Cath Lab environment
• Approximately 24–40 cases per day
• Patient ratio: 1:1

Schedule & Call:

• 40 hours/week
• 8- or 12-hour shifts, depending on department needs:
  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• May be scheduled for a combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts
• Department operates 24/7
• Call required
• Scheduled call shift: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• May be assigned Friday–Friday call (up to 7 days) approximately every 2–3 months
• Call extends from end of shift until 6:00 AM
• 30-minute response time
• Occasional weekend shifts; weekends are generally covered through call
• Holiday: Travelers typically do not work holidays
• Up to 7 days of time off may be approved

• No floating 

Orientation:

• 1 week of department orientation

• 15 total labs shared across Cath Lab, EP, and Hybrid; travelers will work in Cath Lab only
