Description
CT Technologist | Monday-Friday | Evening Shift | 40 Hours/Week
Location: Aberdeen, WA 98520
Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Position Overview:
The CT Technologist performs computerized tomography procedures, including invasive procedures, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Radiologist. Responsibilities include patient positioning, operating specialized CT equipment, determining technical exposure factors, and ensuring accurate film marking and labeling.
Equipment: Toshiba Aquilion 64-slice CT scanner
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT procedures safely and accurately.
- Position and instruct patients during examinations.
- Operate CT equipment and determine technical exposure factors.
- Ensure correct marking and labeling of films.
- Provide quality patient care and customer service.
- Participate in on-call coverage.
- Follow hospital radiology policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved AMA school of Radiology.
- Registered ARRT.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Diagnostic experience preferred (2 years desirable).
- Strong computer skills and manual dexterity.
- Ability to make accurate clinical judgments.
- Ability to safely transport patients and equipment.
- Must meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 40 lbs and pushing a loaded stretcher.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 40 lbs from floor to wheelchair or waist level.
- Move 40 lbs six feet.
- Reach overhead while holding 25 lbs.
- Transfer 40 lbs from wheelchair to bed level.
- Pull 40 lbs from stretcher to bed.
Push a 150 lb loaded stretcher 300 feet.
