Seeking an experienced RN – Emergency Department for a 16-bed ED Observation Unit providing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The RN will assess patients, administer medications and treatments, monitor cardiac and neurological status, and respond to changes in condition.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to ED observation and emergency patients.
• Perform assessments and monitor patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments.
• Manage IVs, phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring, and EKGs.
• Care for trauma, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric patients.
• Document patient care in Epic.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams.
• Float within scope as needed.

Requirements

• Active RN license; pending license accepted if active before start.
• 2 years ED experience preferred; 1.5 years may be considered from a similar hospital.
• TNCC, ACLS, and BLS required.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Strong emergency, trauma, and cardiac monitoring skills.
• First-time travelers not accepted.
• TNS may be accepted in place of TNCC.
