Schedule

• 7p–7a
• Weekends: As needed; facility tries for every other weekend but travelers may be used to fill gaps
• Holidays: Only if needed
• Call/Standby: None
• Shifts are scheduled by the unit scheduler
• Shifts may be blocked/grouped
• First to float

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience – Required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be a good team player
• Must be comfortable with:
  • Ventilated patients
  • Sepsis
  • Respiratory/heart failure
  • Strokes/TPA
  • GI bleeds
  • Post-code patients
  • Pneumonia
  • Post-surgical patients
  • Drip titration
• CRRT: Travelers will not take CRRT patients

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

License

• Active RN license required for submission
• License must be in hand/eligible to submit
• 50-mile radius rule: Candidate's permanent address must be outside 50 miles of the facility
• Permanent address must be included in the submission

Education

• BSN NOT required
• RN degree accepted
