Description
Travel RN PICU
Facility: Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center – Idaho Falls, ID
Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM | 36 hrs/week
Beds: 16
Requirements / Must-Haves:
- 1+ year recent, direct bedside pediatric critical care experience
- Pediatric mechanical ventilation
- HFNC, nasal CPAP, and tracheostomy management
- Arterial lines and central lines
- Titrating vasoactive, paralytic, and sedative infusions
- Weight-based pediatric pharmacology / PALS dosing
- Age-specific assessment from neonates through adolescents/young adults
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
Preferred:
- Precepting novice/new graduate nurses
Patient Ratios:
- PICU: 1:2
- IMC: 1:3
- Other: 1:4, based on acuity
Floating: ICU & NICU
Weekends: Rotating, 4 weekend shifts/month
Scrubs: Navy Blue
Unit Experience: Advanced respiratory support, invasive lines, continuous infusions, intubation assistance, central-line management, hemodynamic monitoring, moderate sedation, and complex drip titration.
