The Registered Nurse provides safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute-care hospital setting. The RN is responsible for patient assessment, monitoring, medication administration, care coordination, patient education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures or treatments.
• Provide direct nursing care according to physician orders, hospital policies, and established clinical protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, neurological status, and other relevant clinical parameters.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments safely.
• Identify changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to urgent or emergent situations.
• Assist physicians and the healthcare team with procedures as required.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure appropriate pre- and post-procedure care.
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, medications, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
• Participate in the department's on-call rotation and respond within the required 30-minute timeframe when called.
• L&D/OR/Cath Lab: provided
• Assist with emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions within scope of practice.
• Maintain professional standards and ensure continuity of care throughout the patient's hospital stay.
