Med/Surg RN – Appleton, WI

Shift: 12hr NOCs, 5:30 PM–6:00 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks | Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Radius Requirement: No travelers within 50 miles of ThedaCare Corporate Center, Neenah, WI (previous travel required)
Weekend: Up to every other weekend (open to every-weekend candidates)
Holidays: Rotation as needed
On Call: None
Billing: Sunday–Saturday, 8hr unbillable orientation

Facility Details:

• Charting System: EPIC (must have used within the last year)
• Floats throughout all Med/Surg units at TC Appleton & TC Neenah; may float to all ThedaCare facilities as needed
• TCN 5th floor: cardiac (pre/post, heart cath & pacemakers)
• TCN Neuro: stroke, post-TNK, neuro surgery
• Traveler only takes patients within their skillset
• Patient Ratios: 1:5–6 (days & nights, new staffing model); RNs paired with support staff (LPN/CNA) based on acuity
• Primary case types: Medical/Surgical, General Surgical, Oncology, Renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, Stroke, Surgical Trauma & Ortho, DKA; pre/post Cath, post pacemaker & TR bands experience strongly preferred; rare pediatric patients
• Scrubs: Black

Requirements:

• Active WI RN license
• Active BLS – AHA required
• NIHSS required
• ACLS – AHA preferred
• 3+ years RN experience, 2+ years Med/Surg experience
• 1 completed travel contract strongly preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's preferred
