Pharmacist – Travel Contract
Location: York, PA
Facility: WellSpan
Shift: Days | 5×8 Hours | 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
Contract Length: 91 Weeks
Minimum Experience: 2 Years
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Position Overview
WellSpan is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to provide pharmacy services in a hospital setting. The role requires experience with IV medications, chemotherapy/hazardous drug handling, medication dosing, sterile technique, and inpatient/acute care pharmacy.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist (RPh) license required
- PharmD
- BLS certification
- IV certification
- Chemo/Hazardous Drug certification
- Inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience
- Experience with chemotherapy and oncologic medications
- Experience with IV push and IV piggyback medications
- Sterile compounding/sterile technique experience
- Experience with EPIC preferred
Pharmacy Skills
Experience with the following is preferred/required as applicable:
- Chemotherapy
- Oncologic medications
- IV push medications
- IV piggyback medications
- Compounding
- Sterile technique
- Pharmacokinetic dosing
- Renal dosing
- Pediatric dosing
- Geriatric dosing
- Pyxis
- Clinical dosing
Schedule
- 5×8-hour day shifts
- Standard shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Schedule may fall between 6:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Every 3rd or 4th Saturday
- Saturday hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- No call requirement
Holiday Requirement
Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 upcoming major holiday periods:
- Thanksgiving Day / Black Friday
- Christmas Eve / Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve / New Year's Day
If the contract covers only 2 holiday periods, the traveler will be expected to work 1 of the 2.
Please do not request more than 1 major holiday off.
